Where The Heck Is Wellsford...?

Different Auckland town centers have adopted Rugby teams from countries that qualified for the World Cup.
I found out information about :
The location in Auckland;
Something special about this place;
A 'potted' history of the place;
If it has it's own symbol of some sort.
(If we couldn't find a symbol we chose a picture that told more about the place).

Your prediction of what nation will win the 2011 World cup: All blacks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Task One – “Where The Heck IS Wellsford”
Wellsford is in the northern North Island of New Zealand.

The special thing about this town is that the Wellsford Golf Club is popular among the locals and also houses squash courts.

In early 1860’s English settlers arrived establishing themselves at Port Albert on the Kai para Coast about 10 kilometers west of Wellsford. These settlers called themselves The Albertlanders, after prince Albert,queen Victoria’s consort. They were a “breakaway group from the Anglican Church looking for a new world. However not many of the settlers arrived at Port Albert and the ones who did found it difficult to make a living. The majority of the Albertlanders moved inland, to more fertile areas in the region. As a result, Wellsford was founded

This is a picture that shows that Wellsford has lots of cows and some of them even block up the road!!!.

To find out more information about Wellsford and about their cows go to this website written below.

I wouldn't want to be driving around the streets at night in Wellsford.
